My blog is dead. Long live my blog!
Feb. 7th, 2007 | 08:54 am
As you might have noticed, I have not updated my livejournal in quite a long time. You also might have noticed, I haven't updated ocularinvasion.com in quite a long time. To remedy both of these problems, I have turned ocularinvasion.com into a blog. Point your web browsers to ocularinvasion.com for all the latest on my arts and point your rss readers to http://feeds.feedburner.com/ocularinvasi on for the rss feed. I still read my friends' journals but only if they have an rss feed.

Do you all remember when I competed in the Adobe Design Achievement Awards? Well, at the time, the guy that I lost to showed me some designs for toys that he wanted to make. I'm excited to say that he has finally made them. Super-Bastard are the toys and they are sweet.

Zune + CSS
Nov. 3rd, 2006 | 11:10 am
music: Guns Are Drawn - The Roots
The website for Microsoft's Zune is now online. I'm very happy to see CSS, a brazilian rock band that kicks ass live, is the featured artist.
I saw CSS a couple weeks ago when they opened fro Ladytron and CSS put on a way better show. I wondered how it long it would take for them to get big, apparently not long.

BORAT
Nov. 1st, 2006 | 11:57 pm
I just got back from an advanced screening of Borat:Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. It is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a very long time. If you aren't easily offended, then I highly recommend that you catch this movie when it opens on Friday!

Graduation Present
Oct. 10th, 2006 | 12:47 am
Well I finally got my graduation present almost a year after graduating. It was originally going to be an Xterra but it just took way to long for my parents to pony up the money so I decided on something cheaper but equally, if not more, cool.
I got me one of these bad boys

The Canon XH A1, a Hi Def camcorder worthy of indie film making. Now here's hoping that I get over my camera shyness so that I can actually use the thing.

The most enjoyable thing about Zach Braff's latest movies was being able to say "Hey, I've stood in that spot before" (small parts of the movie were shot on the UW Madison campus).

El Presidente
Aug. 30th, 2006 | 09:22 pm
The president just touched down in Salt Lake City for some speeches he's making tomorrow. Thanks to local news, I know that he's a little hoarse, a little sunburned, and without the first lady. Now only if they could tell me what beverages he had on the plane.
I was supposed to be in Las Vegas today for the Magic fashion show. After highly anticipating the trip for over a month, yesterday my boss, without explanation or even an apology, decided take my place. Thus leaving me hear for another day of work and another night of lousy local news.
